Drinking water treatment systems equipment
Clean drinking water is available with the correct water treatment system
The popularity of household water systems have grown over the past few years for a number of reasons. Many individuals have turned to water systems to improve the taste of their drinking water, and others because of the recent increase in reports of contamination of city and private water supplies.
Depending on the particular system, you could spend anywhere from $15 to over $1000. The products available for purifying water vary from disposable filters, which fit on your personal water bottle, to a complete household system which purifies all the water in your home, including your shower water. Unfortunately, there isn’t a single product on the market that will remove every contaminant that may affect water quality.
For this reason, you have to first identify what contaminants are in your water before you can decide which filtration system would suit your needs best. In order to identify contaminates in your water, you can contact your local health department, or a consultant, for information on water testing facilities. In addition, there are water-testing laboratories which may be of service to you.
Once you have identified what contaminates you need to remove from your water, the next step is deciding what type of system would best suit your needs. A point-of-use system is installed where you use the water, such as on your kitchen or bathroom faucet. If you do not want a filter on your faucet, other point-of-use systems include under the sink systems and countertop units. There are even pitchers that sit on the countertop; however, they require filling. Then there are point-of-entry systems, which connect to the main water pipes and filter the entire water supply for your home. The latter tend to be more expensive, and many must also be professionally installed.

Water Filtration Systems
Recently, water filtration systems have experienced an intense transformation mostly do with new technologies. Several years ago, homeowners had to make the choice between having scale build-up and the mixed blessings of water softeners. Thanks to the ever-evolving technological world we live in, today, we can have both.
The filtration systems of the past had two basic problems. They removed all the natural, healthful minerals such as calcium and magnesium that our bodies need and many of the water softening systems used salts and other corrosive chemicals to remove the minerals.
Thankfully, today we have new systems that use proprietary carbon-filtration techniques, which restructure the minerals in hard water instead of removing them. This not only makes the water safe for our pipes, but more important, makes our drinking water cleaner, healthier, and safe.
With the newer solutions on the marker, there is no reason to wait any longer to enjoy fresh testing clean, health drinking water.
